NH Investment & Securities Obtains ISO14001 Certification for Environmental Management
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] NH Investment & Securities announced on the 25th that it has obtained the international standard certification for environmental management (ISO14001).
The certification awarding ceremony was held on the 22nd at NH Financial Tower in Yeouido, Seoul, attended by CEO Jung Young-chae and Korea Quality Foundation CEO Song Ji-young. ISO14001 is an international standard certification for environmental management systems established by the International Organization for Standardization, indicating that a company has established environmental management policies and goals, has an organized management system to achieve them, and is continuously making efforts.
NH Investment & Securities was highly evaluated for establishing a Sustainability Council as an executive meeting body to formulate ESG promotion plans and for actively promoting ESG management by forming a dedicated ESG organization. Previously, NH Investment & Securities expanded its ESG-based business as part of advancing its green management strategy.
In line with the 'ESG Transformation 2025' vision declared by NH Nonghyup Financial Group, NH Investment & Securities is taking the lead as a key affiliate within the group in systematic execution. To activate environmental management, it publicly discloses its environmental management policies and reflects environmental management processes in organizational KPIs. It also measures and manages greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1, 2, 3) through its own greenhouse gas management system.
Additionally, in December last year, it was recognized for establishing a compliance management system and an anti-corruption management system related to bribery prevention and ethical management, including risk checks on organizational activities and regulations, and received ISO 37301 (Compliance Management System) and ISO 37001 (Anti-Corruption Management System) certifications.
