View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] SK Ecoplant announced on the 24th that it has been selected as the construction company for the ‘Gwangjang-dong Samsung 1st Apartment Small-scale Reconstruction Maintenance Project’ in Seoul, securing a reconstruction project along the Han River in Seoul.
The Samsung 1st Apartment Small-scale Reconstruction Project is a development project in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, consisting of two buildings with 3 basement floors and up to 40 floors above ground, totaling 225 households, along with auxiliary welfare facilities. The total contract amount is approximately 101.7 billion KRW.
The project site offers a permanent view of the Han River and has convenient access to Gwangnaru Station on Subway Line 5, Gangbyeon Station on Line 2, and the Gangbyeonbuk-ro Expressway. The complex is also close to Gwangnam Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.
SK Ecoplant continues to secure orders in various urban maintenance sectors, including remodeling, small-scale reconstruction, and street housing maintenance projects, in addition to existing reconstruction and redevelopment maintenance projects. Last year, it secured its first street housing maintenance project in Geumgwang-dong, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and in May this year, it won its first remodeling project in Incheon. Following these, it is continuously receiving positive signals across all urban maintenance sectors, including this small-scale reconstruction along the Han River. The cumulative contract amount for urban maintenance projects this year totals 981.9 billion KRW.

An SK Ecoplant official stated, “Since this project is the first complex to be developed along the Han River, we will strive to create the best landmark complex at the gateway to Seoul with a design that maximizes the Han River premium.”
