KT's ESG report was prepared in compliance with the comprehensive conformity criteria of the international sustainability reporting guideline, the "GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) Standards." To ensure reliability and fairness, it also underwent third-party verification by the Korea Management Registrar (KMR).
The environmental chapter of the report covers the establishment of an integrated company-wide greenhouse gas monitoring system and the incorporation of a monitoring function for RE100 implementation status. This year, the greenhouse gas monitoring system will be expanded to major group companies as well.
The social chapter introduces cases based on ABC technology, including the digital youth talent development program Able School, AI talent cultivation for internal employees, and support for startup discovery.
The governance chapter addresses KT's board operation policies, ethical management, and efforts for compliance management. KT was selected as the best company in the governance category in the 2021 ESG evaluation by the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS).
Based on the ESG report published this year, KT also held a session where board members could freely discuss KT's ESG management direction.
