The event was attended by about 100 people, including professors and students from five departments of the College of Aviation?Department of Aviation Operations, Department of Aircraft Maintenance, Department of Aviation Service, Department of Air Logistics, and Department of Air Traffic Management?as well as high school students and aviation industry professionals.
The camp provided opportunities such as ▲Introduction to the College of Aviation ▲College of Aviation tour ▲Viewing of promotional video contest entries created by current students ▲Special lecture by Jung Chang-jae, Head of Safety at Air Busan ▲and hands-on experiences with aviation facilities and equipment.
As part of the department experience program, the Department of Aviation Operations conducted flight simulation missions using CBT; the Department of Aircraft Maintenance held a preliminary aircraft maintenance technician competition using the LearJet 25; and the Department of Aviation Service offered in-flight service and safety experiences along with a preliminary flight attendant competition. These diverse mission programs allowed current students and high school students to participate together.
Kim Geun-na, a student from the Department of Aviation Service who prepared and participated in the event, said, "I feel proud to have the opportunity to share the aviation expertise I learned at school with high school students," adding, "Since I have experienced the career concerns of high school students in the past, it was a rewarding day to be able to offer various advice."
Kim Jae-won, Dean of the College of Aviation, stated, "We plan to continue hosting events that help young people interested in aviation careers plan their futures, and Silla University will take the lead in nurturing aviation personnel for the era of the new Gadeokdo Airport."
