Woori Bank "Digital Issuance of Professional Licenses... Simplifying Loan Procedures"
Easy Online Submission of Certificates... Enhanced Security
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Woori Bank has launched a service that digitizes and issues professional certificates for professionals, allowing them to be utilized. Customers can now easily submit their certificates online without the need to present paper certificates when applying for loans and other banking products.
On the 22nd, Woori Bank announced the implementation of the 'Digital Certificate Electronic Wallet' service. It uses blockchain decentralized identity verification (DID) technology to prevent the risk of certificate forgery and tampering. Additionally, the issued digital certificates are stored directly in the secure area of the user's mobile phone, not on the service provider's server. Users can selectively provide only the necessary information to the submitting institution.
In relation to this service launch, Woori Bank also collaborated with the Seoul Bar Association. Lawyers affiliated with the Seoul Bar Association receive 'Digital Certificates' from Woori Bank, which can be used when applying for the professional-exclusive credit loan product, ‘Woori Special Loan’.
