Dong-A Pharmaceutical Launches 'iCheck Menopause Test Device' for Women's Menopause Self-Diagnosis
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Dong-A Pharmaceutical announced on the 22nd that it has launched the 'iCheck Menopause Test Kit,' which allows women to self-diagnose menopause.
The iCheck Menopause Test Kit measures the concentration of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) in urine using an immunological method, enabling diagnosis of menopause progression with high accuracy (98.6%) within approximately 10 minutes.
Unlike the traditional menopause diagnosis method of blood sampling, this test reads menopause status through urine, making it convenient, and the kit format allows for simple testing at home.
Menopause refers to the period during which physical and mental symptoms occur before and after menopause, generally appearing in middle-aged women in their late 40s to early 50s. Various symptoms such as facial flushing, hot flashes, sweating, depression, and osteoporosis may manifest, so early diagnosis to check bodily changes in advance is important.
