Lee Hak-su, Jeongeup Mayor, Conducts Communication Administration by Visiting 23 Eup, Myeon, and Dong Areas

[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Lee Hak-su, mayor of Jeongeup, is making efforts to communicate with citizens and realize a citizen communication administration that reflects the opinions of the citizens.

According to the city on the 21st, Mayor Lee started a tour visit to 23 eup, myeon, and dong districts from the 12th to this day to quickly grasp local issues and communicate with citizens.

This visit was prepared as part of communication administration for city development and issue resolution, to gather vivid public opinion through meetings with heads of institutions and organizations in eup, myeon, and dong, as well as community leaders, and to seek citizens' cooperation for the operation of the 8th elected city administration.

In particular, the purpose is to expand citizens' interest and communication in city administration, implement a trustworthy administration that citizens empathize with, and accelerate the early establishment of Jeongeup as a leading city centered on its citizens.

Starting with Suseong-dong on the 12th, Mayor Lee visited Gamgok-myeon on the last day, collecting opinions from residents about inconveniences and improvements experienced in daily life, and requested mutual cooperation for city development and citizens' happiness.

He also listened to the difficulties of eup, myeon, and dong officials who are at the forefront of administration, and urged efforts to improve administrative services and enhance citizen-friendly kindness so that the administration can be empathized with by the citizens.

Through this eup, myeon, and dong visit, Mayor Lee met about 1,000 residents and heard various suggestions from them on site.

Looking at the suggestions, they mainly involved matters closely related to residents' daily lives such as paving of farm roads, expansion of village roads, securing parking lots, city gas, transportation, and welfare sectors.

The city plans to actively review the opinions heard through frank conversations during the eup, myeon, and dong visits and reflect them in city administration.

A resident who attended the communication meeting said, "Through this meeting, I was able to hear about the city's vision and progress," and added, "I hope that the residents' stories will be carefully listened to and reflected in policies."

Mayor Lee Hak-su said, "It was a valuable time to discuss and talk about local issues with citizens," and added, "Since sincere dialogue and empathy are the basics of city administration, I will continue to do my best to realize trustworthy and open administration."
