Koreacenter Malltail Opens Wine-Dedicated Logistics Center in Oregon, USA
Within 20 Minutes to Airport... 197 Pyeong Size
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Korea Center's overseas subsidiary Moltail announced on the 21st that it will open a wine-exclusive logistics center in Oregon, USA.
Oregon, famous as a production area for the Pinot Noir grape variety, is adjacent to Napa Valley in California, the largest wine-producing region in the United States, as well as Washington State. The Oregon logistics center, with a total area of approximately 650m² (197 pyeong), is located within a 20-minute drive to the nearby Portland International Airport, enabling fast and safe delivery.
Oregon is a tax-free state in the US, so no taxes are incurred when ordering. Delaware, a tax-free region, does not allow online purchases of alcoholic beverages, and California imposes taxes, which increases liquor tax and education tax when importing to Korea.
With the opening of the Oregon logistics center, Moltail operates a total of four logistics centers in the US, including California, New Jersey, and Delaware. Globally, it has secured 12 logistics centers in 8 countries and plans to focus on enhancing fulfillment services, including direct purchase logistics.
