[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] AK Plaza announced on the 21st that it will grand open ‘AK Plaza Geumjeong Branch,’ its fifth regional specialty shopping mall, on the 22nd.
AK Plaza Geumjeong Branch will be presented across a total of five floors, including one basement level and four above ground. The sales area is approximately 20,000㎡ (6,051 pyeong), housing over 90 urban lifestyle brands including a cinema, sports, SPA, and F&B.
The Geumjeong area in Gunpo City is characterized as a representative office district in southern Gyeonggi Province with a high floating population of office workers. Reflecting this geographical feature, various tenants catering to young office workers will be introduced. The basement level 1 will feature a large active tenant zone of 2,298㎡ (695 pyeong) composed of golf and sports facilities. Additionally, popular SPA brands with reasonable prices favored by office workers such as Uniqlo, Giordano, Eight Seconds, SPAO, and TopTen will be present, enabling shopping during commuting hours.
Popular F&B brands that office workers and nearby families can comfortably use have also been prepared. The food court, which was mainly located on the upper floors of the shopping mall, has been placed on the main first floor as a food hall zone.
