Oh Se-hoon Awards 'Seoul Honorary Citizenship' to Hungarian and Colombian Ambassadors to Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] On the 21st, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon will present the Seoul City Honorary Citizenship certificates to Csoma M?zes, the Hungarian Ambassador to Korea, and Juan Carlos Caiza Rosero, the Colombian Ambassador to Korea, at the Seoul City Hall video conference room.
Ambassador Csoma M?zes was appointed as the Hungarian Ambassador to Korea in 2018 and established the Hungarian Cultural Center in Myeongdong, Seoul in 2019. The ambassador pioneered cultural exchange between the two countries by opening the first Korean Studies department at a university in Hungary (2008), inaugurating a direct flight route to Budapest (2019), and publishing numerous books related to Korean history.

Additionally, Ambassador Juan Carlos Caiza Rosero was appointed as the Colombian Ambassador to Korea in 2019. He facilitated the visits of the Colombian President and Vice President to Seoul and contributed to strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Notably, this year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Colombia and the 40th anniversary of the Seoul-Bogot? sister city partnership. He organized commemorative cultural exchange events, providing Seoul citizens with opportunities to experience Colombian culture and serving as a focal point for bilateral exchange and cooperation.
