SKT Partners with Korea Computer Information Society to Foster University Student Developers
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] SK Telecom is developing an artificial intelligence (AI) and metaverse curriculum for university students in collaboration with the Korea Computer Information Society.
On the 20th, SK Telecom announced that it signed an MOU with the Korea Computer Information Society for the "Development of Basic and Advanced AI and Metaverse Courses to Promote Digital Expansion and Activation."
This university education curriculum development project for "AI and Metaverse" is part of the K-Digital Platform project led by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. SKT SMS is participating in the K-Digital Training and Digital Leading Company Academy projects.
Both parties agreed in this business cooperation agreement to jointly develop digital content related to AI and metaverse education (basic and advanced courses), hold lectures and forums targeting industry professionals, university students, and job seekers, and promote education expansion based on projects, capstone design, and hackathons.
They plan to educate university students on the latest technologies used by field developers in the rapidly growing "AI and Metaverse" sectors, including Python language, deep learning models, and Unity programming.

SKT and the Korea Computer Information Society plan to develop the AI and metaverse curriculum structured in this way in the second half of this year and organize AI and metaverse-related classes at about 10 universities.
