Handok Medical Museum Recruiting Participants for Summer Vacation Experience Program
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Handok Medical Museum announced on the 20th that it is recruiting participants for its summer vacation experience program.
Participants in the summer vacation experience program can take part in various activities such as "Today I am a Pharmacist," "Heartbeat Thump Thump," "Stories of the Neat Medicine Cabinet," "The King's Medicine Box," "A Day in the Clinic," and "Fragrant Toktok, Herbal Air Freshener." "Today I am a Pharmacist" is an activity where participants learn the correct way to take medicine and directly experience the process of making pills. "A Day in the Clinic" is an activity where participants become a Joseon Dynasty clinic doctor, learning how to treat patients and make medicine.
Additionally, visitors can tour the museum and see world medical artifacts such as the treasure-designated "Celadon Inlaid Medicine Cabinet," Heo Jun's "Donguibogam First Edition" seen on TV and textbooks, and the "German Pharmacy," a faithful reproduction of a 19th-century traditional German pharmacy, with explanations provided. Furthermore, visitors can tour the Handok production factory to see how medicines that help our current health are made.
The Handok Medical Museum's "Summer Vacation Experience Program" is free for anyone, including families with children from kindergarten to middle school students. Applications can be made from the 21st of this month on the Handok Medical Museum website and will be closed on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition to the special summer vacation program, applications are also being accepted for the "August Regular Weekend Program." The weekend program consists only of experience activities without exhibition explanations or factory tours and is conducted both on-site and online.
