InterContinental Opens Outdoor Kids Pool for Summer Vacation
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] InterContinental Seoul COEX announced on the 20th that it will operate an outdoor kids' pool exclusively for hotel guests during the peak summer vacation season and offer the ‘Kids Forest Package,’ which includes access to a themed room decorated with popular characters from `Pinkfong Baby Shark`.
According to InterContinental, the outdoor kids' pool, located on the outdoor terrace of the hotel's 3rd-floor fitness club, is a heated pool designed for children under 6 years old (parental supervision required). Guests can enjoy various poolside menus such as mango shaved ice, beef burgers, and club sandwiches. Adults and children aged 6 and above can use the indoor swimming pool within the fitness club.
The Kids Forest Package allows guests to meet various amenities and the Pinkfong Baby Shark character transformed into a summer forest explorer in a dedicated concept room decorated with Pinkfong Baby Shark and other Pinkfong characters. Additionally, a specially produced limited edition ‘Pinkfong Baby Shark Kids Forest Kit’ is provided as a gift. The package also includes breakfast benefits for two adults and one child (under 12 years old) to enjoy breakfast together at the buffet restaurant.
Unlike the usual restrictions on infants and children in the club lounge at InterContinental Seoul COEX, guests can comfortably enjoy a hotel staycation with their children from morning until evening. Customers using the Kids Forest Package can add Club InterContinental lounge benefits, which include exclusive check-in and check-out, breakfast, afternoon tea, a semi-buffet, and unlimited drinks during happy hour.

The outdoor kids' pool, available to all hotel guests, will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until September 12. During the peak season from the 29th of this month to the 15th of next month and the Chuseok holiday period, it will be open daily. The Kids Forest Package, available until the end of this year, starts at 278,000 KRW including tax and service charges. For those who want Club InterContinental lounge benefits, an additional 72,600 KRW allows two adults and one child to access all lounge services.
