Changwon Special City to Host 'Gender Equality Content Contest' Until August 10
The 27th Gender Equality Week Commemoration "Adding Equality to Changwon"
Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, is hosting the '2022 Changwon Gender Equality Content Contest' open to the entire nation until August 10th, 2022, in celebration of Gender Equality Week.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam is hosting the '2022 Changwon Gender Equality Content Contest' open to the entire nation until August 10th, in celebration of Gender Equality Week 2022 (September 1st to September 7th). The contest aims to reexamine gender-discriminatory elements and practices in daily life and to raise proper awareness and interest in gender equality.
This contest will accept submissions in the fields of comics, posters, and card news on free themes related to gender equality, including ▲finding ceremonial cultures that need to change in rites of passage such as marriage and funerals ▲pictograms for gender-segregated public restrooms, considerate parking spaces, baby rest areas, and multipurpose restrooms ▲pledges to practice gender equality in families, workplaces, and schools.
Submitted works will be reviewed by the Changwon Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group and a panel of expert judges, with results announced in August.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held during the Gender Equality Commemoration Week event on September 1st. A total of 30 works will be selected and awarded across general, youth, and children categories as follows: ▲Grand Prize (3 winners) ▲Excellence Award (3 winners) ▲Outstanding Award (3 winners) ▲Encouragement Award (3 winners) ▲Honorable Mention (18 winners).
Participation in the contest is possible through the Changwon City Hall website (Citizen Participation - Contest) and by in-person submission. Outstanding works from the contest will be used as promotional materials for gender equality education and events.
