Nam Seungwon, Literary Critic, Wins the 23rd Young Critic Award
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] Nam Seung-won (photo), a critic, has been selected as the winner of the 23rd ‘Young Critic Award’ organized by the Korean Literary Critics Association. The award-winning work is ‘From Refuge to Solidarity - Changes in Space and the Novel’s Response,’ published in issue 9 of ‘Modern Criticism’ in 2021. It examines the literary trends of the past 100 years from a broad perspective through the two frameworks of modern ‘space’ and ‘arrangement.’ Critic Nam Seung-won began his activities in 2010 by publishing criticism in the ‘Seoul Shinmun.’ He is currently serving as an invited professor at Seoul Women’s University and is an editorial board member of the literary magazines ‘Position’ and ‘Dingadolha.’ The award ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on the 21st at the Geumboseong Art Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
