Through this agreement, they will jointly promote the creation of a marine safety culture such as survival swimming, support marine safety programs, and conduct public awareness campaigns.
The signing ceremony, held before the home games of the NC Dinos and Doosan Bears, was attended by Chief Ryu Yonghwan and CEO Lee Jinman.
The Maritime Police set up a booth at the stadium entrance to conduct a campaign promoting proper wearing of life jackets and fostering a marine safety culture, and appointed the Dinos mascots ‘Dandi’ and ‘Sseri’ as honorary marine police ambassadors.
The ceremonial first pitch to commemorate the agreement was thrown by Chief Ryu, and the first batter was Police Officer Kang Cheongmyeong of the Special Search and Rescue Team (SART), who appeared on the entertainment program ‘Steel Troops 2’.
