National Museum Cultural Foundation Supports Cultural and Arts Groups with Free Theater Rental
Submission Open Until the 31st for Theater ‘Yong’ Todak Todak Art Sharing Contest
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The National Museum Cultural Foundation announced on the 14th that it will hold a free venue rental contest for the ‘2022 Theater Yong Todaktodak Art Sharing’ until the 31st.
This contest project was prepared to revitalize the cultural and artistic market, which has been struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic since last year, and to alleviate the venue rental budget burden of private cultural and artistic organizations, thereby providing stable opportunities for artistic activities.
The foundation holds an annual free venue rental contest for Theater Yong targeting the pure arts field (classical music, gugak, dance, etc.). This year’s recruitment field is gugak, and the eligibility criteria are △performance groups with Korean nationality residing in Korea △groups that have held performances in venues with more than 50 seats within the last five years.
Groups wishing to apply can submit their desired performance dates between September 6 (Tuesday) and September 11 (Sunday), excluding the day before and the day of Chuseok (September 9 and 10).
The foundation will select a total of four performances through the contest. Selected groups will be supported with △free venue rental at the National Museum of Korea Theater Yong △provision of venue guides △performance promotion (distribution of press releases and online promotion), among other supports.
