Haenam-gun, Lifelong Learning Center Ink Wash Painting Class Wins Big at Jeonnam Art Exhibition
12 Winners Including 3 Special Prize Recipients
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] On the 14th, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the students of the ink wash painting class at the Lifelong Learning Center won numerous awards, including the special selection prize in the literary painting category at the 58th Jeollanam-do Art Exhibition held on the 13th.
At this art exhibition, Lee Jaesong, Kim Chunjae, and Nam Woo won special selection prizes, while Lee Byeongchae, Yoon Hasuk, Lee Myeongun, Noh Byeongho, Yang Hoewon, Jeong Mira, Lee Jeonggon, Lee Yeonsim, and Go Yeongdam received honorable mentions.
The ink wash painting course at the Lifelong Learning Center started as a hobby class in 2019 and is now operated as a segmented program divided into basic and advanced classes.
The 12 advanced class students who have participated since the early days worked diligently on their artworks despite the intense heat, achieving this award-winning result.
In particular, the passionate and dedicated guidance of artist Jeong Insun, who is currently active as the instructor of the ink wash painting class, played a significant role in achieving this success at the exhibition, which boasts a long history and prestige.
Artist Jeong Insun said, “The students’ passion for ink wash painting is tremendous, and I feel proud as an instructor that they have earned the honor of honorable mention. I will do my best to help the students of the ink wash painting class advance beyond a hobby to become professional artists.”
