On the 13th, CEO Jeon Jeong-hwan was appointed as Vice President at the Korea Youth Development Association executive appointment ceremony held at the Korea Youth Development Association Headquarters under the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The Korea Youth Development Association is a youth volunteer organization established in 1964 by presidential decree as a corporation authorized by the Police Agency, and has been working to protect and nurture youth ever since. Currently, about 100,000 members are active in 115 district chapters nationwide based on the police organization.
CEO Jeon has served as a director of the Korea Youth Development Association since October last year. In May, he also donated 100 million KRW to the association under the name of "domestic youth protection and development."
The Korea Youth Development Association explained, "CEO Jeon has shown strong commitment to youth protection and development both materially and spiritually while serving as the CEO of a company providing services to improve citizen convenience and as an executive of the association. We highly appreciate this and appointed him as Vice President this time."
Heo Jun-young, President of the Korea Youth Development Association, said at the appointment ceremony, "We express infinite gratitude to the executives who are active as businesspeople and still want to help the association’s activities despite difficult circumstances. Vice President Jeon has shown an exemplary attitude as an executive in a short period. We are pleased that he willingly accepted the position of Vice President."
CEO Jeon Jeong-hwan also shared his thoughts, saying, "It is an honor but also a heavy responsibility. Although the time since I became a director of the association has been short, I have felt a sense of rapid change. Despite Korea being a top 10 OECD economy, there are still many areas, including youth sectors, that need development. I will join forces with the association’s executives to overcome these challenges."
Dwelling, led by CEO Jeon, is recognized as a specialized company in 4th industrial revolution convergence services, based on core technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data, providing an advanced environmental quality of life. The company focuses on improving indoor and outdoor air quality by measuring, monitoring, and purifying (ultra) fine dust, harmful chemicals, bacteria, viruses, and odors.
In particular, starting with services providing its proprietary AirCare (air purification and sterilization) system to hospitals, schools, and nursing homes, the company has been managing air quality in public places and public transportation such as buses, subways, and tunnels. Last year, it was selected as the pilot operator for Seoul City’s ‘Smart Bus Station’ project aimed at citizen convenience and safety, and began full-scale operations this year. Currently, it operates about 1,200 locations including central lanes and roadside bus stops in Seoul and the ‘Fine Dust Free Zone’ in Gangnam-gu, securing about 4,500 advertising spaces, the largest scale among outdoor advertising operators in Korea.
