Man in his 30s Arrested for Pretending to Be Part-Time Worker and Robbing Safe
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] A man in his 30s who deceived others by pretending to be a part-time worker and stole money from a convenience store safe was arrested by the police.
The Gwangju Western Police Station announced on the 12th that they have apprehended and are investigating Mr. A on charges of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes (theft).
Mr. A is accused of opening the safe and stealing about 200,000 won at a convenience store in Geumho-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, around 1 p.m. on the 10th, after pretending to be a weekday daytime part-time worker.
Mr. A talked with another part-time worker for about an hour, then took advantage of the moment when the other worker went to organize items to steal the money and fled by taxi.
