On the 11th, the Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight, 12,693 new domestic COVID-19 cases were confirmed, bringing the total cumulative cases to 18,524,538.
This is the first time since May 16 that new cases on a Monday have surpassed 10,000, marking an 8-week interval. Compared to a week earlier on the 4th (6,249 cases), this represents a 2.03-fold increase. Imported cases also numbered 180, continuing a streak of over 100 cases daily for 18 consecutive days.
The number of critically ill patients hospitalized due to COVID-19 rose by 4 from the previous day to 71. The nationwide critical care bed occupancy rate stands at 9.1%. Among these, the metropolitan area bed occupancy rate is 8.5%, while the non-metropolitan area shows a 10.9% occupancy rate, maintaining a rate above 10% for the second consecutive day.
The number of new deaths decreased by 1 from the previous day to 18. The total cumulative death toll is 24,661, with a fatality rate of 0.13%.

On the previous day, 14,179 new patients were added to home treatment, bringing the total number of patients currently under home treatment to 108,022. Among them, 4,075 are in the intensive management group receiving health care from medical institutions. The total number of home treatment patients has again risen above 100,000, maintaining this level. The intensive management group also increased to the 4,000 range during the same period.
