Trade Deficit of $5.5 Billion from July 1-10... Annual Cumulative Deficit Reaches $15.9 Billion (Update)
[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Exports from July 1 to 10 increased by 4.7% compared to the same period last year.
According to the Korea Customs Service on the 11th, the export amount (provisional customs clearance basis) until the 10th of this month was $15.783 billion, up 4.7% from the same period last year.
The number of working days during this period was 7, one day less than the same period last year (8 days). Considering this, the average daily export amount increased by 19.7% compared to one year ago.
Imports amounted to $21.311 billion, up 14.1% from the same period last year.
During the same period, the trade balance recorded a deficit of $5.528 billion. The deficit increased by $1.917 billion compared to the same period last year (a deficit of $3.611 billion).
