According to Yonhap News on the 9th, the North Korean Embassy in Beijing's Chaoyang District (hereafter referred to as the North Korean Embassy) had focused on posting photos of Kim Jong-un with children in celebration of Children's Day (June 1) locally, but recently replaced many of the photos.
Most of the 25 photos displayed on the North Korean Embassy's bulletin board were of the two leaders together during Kim’s visit to China or Xi Jinping’s visit to North Korea. The embassy’s bulletin board is known as a channel through which North Korea’s intentions can be read.
At the center of the bulletin board hung a photo of Kim Jong-un and President Xi shaking hands and smiling brightly, with the North Korean flag and the Chinese Five-star Red Flag in the background, respectively.
During the recent remodeling of the bulletin board, a newly installed monitor displays panoramic photos taken during Kim’s visit to China and Xi Jinping’s visit to North Korea.
The 24 photos hung on either side of the monitor also showed Kim and Xi holding hands, waving together to residents during a car parade, and scenes from North Korea-China summits.
Several photos of the four?Kim Jong-un and his wife Ri Sol-ju, and Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan?were also displayed.
