This visit was promoted to create a platform for sharing the philosophy and direction of the 8th civilian administration's county government through listening to the vivid voices from the field and opinions from all walks of life, as well as close cooperation with related organizations.
The visit began on the 8th with a visit to local senior centers to check on the safety of elderly people vulnerable to the rainy season and early heat waves and to listen to civil complaints.
After visiting the senior centers, the plan is to visit related organizations such as Gijang Police Station and Fire Station, major ongoing project sites, and towns and townships handling civil complaints on the front lines until the end of July to address livelihood and local issues.
To proactively respond to concentrated summer rains, typhoons, and heat waves and to ensure the safety of residents, disaster preparedness and inspections of areas prone to disasters will also be conducted.
Jeong Jong-bok, mayor of Gijang County, said, “We will listen to the opinions of residents and respond quickly to administrative demands through close cooperation with related organizations,” adding, “We will actively manage tasks to ensure that major county government projects proceed without any setbacks.”
