This MOU is the third agreement following those with Haeundae-gu in Busan Metropolitan City and Chuncheon in Gangwon Province, as part of the ‘Why Not?’ campaign aimed at providing customers with special experiences.
First, LG Uplus will collaborate with the Makgeolli brand ‘Boksundoga,’ which uses traditional Ulsan rice, to produce a collaborative product. The collaborative product will feature a label on the bottle and a neck tag of Boksundoga’s representative product, ‘Son Makgeolli,’ displaying the phrase ‘Why Not’ along with a QR code containing the ‘Why Not Playlist’ and ‘Makgeolli ASMR,’ perfect for listening to while drinking Makgeolli.
The web variety show ‘Why Not Crew,’ produced together, features famous singers and announcers such as ‘KCM,’ ‘Kwon Eun-bi,’ and ‘Jo Jeong-sik’ introducing local attractions and food through various missions. The first episode of Why Not Crew’s Ulsan edition, to be released on the 22nd, will introduce the ‘Whale Culture Village’ in Jangsaengpo, Ulsan, a former whale hunting center, and Ulsan’s representative dish, Eonyang Bulgogi.
Additionally, ‘Why Not Road,’ which introduces the attractions and surrounding tourist spots featured in Why Not Crew, and ‘Why Not Song,’ carrying messages of challenge and hope, will also be produced.
Jung Soo-heon, Head of LG Uplus Consumer Division, said, “We signed this MOU to revitalize the local economy and offer customers a special experience.”
