KOSPI Rises Early in Session on Dual Buying by Individuals and Foreigners
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] On the 8th, the KOSPI index is on the rise due to simultaneous buying by individuals and foreigners.
As of 9:08 AM that day, the KOSPI index stood at 2350.67, up 16.40 points (0.70%) compared to the previous trading day. The index opened at 2352.49, up 18.22 points (0.78%) from the previous close. Individuals and foreigners net bought approximately 37.9 billion KRW and 27.3 billion KRW respectively, while institutions net sold about 59.9 billion KRW.

At the same time, the KOSDAQ index was recorded at 765.25, up 7.28 points (0.96%) from the previous trading day. Individuals purchased about 33.4 billion KRW, leading the index's rise. Conversely, foreigners and institutions net sold approximately 26.5 billion KRW and 5.9 billion KRW respectively.
