Yongin City Excelled in Preventing Winter Disaster Accidents Last Year... Ranked '1st' Among 31 Cities and Counties
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province was recognized for its proactive efforts to prevent winter disaster accidents such as snow removal and cold waves, ranking '1st' among 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province's evaluation.
Yongin City announced on the 8th that it was selected as an excellent institution (1st place), the highest grade, in the 'Winter Natural Disaster Pre-Preparation and Countermeasure Promotion Evaluation' conducted by Gyeonggi Province, and will receive a commendation from the governor.
Every year, the province evaluates and awards 31 cities and counties within the province based on their pre-preparation status for preventing winter natural disaster accidents and their response measures to prevent casualties and disaster damage. The evaluation period is from September 15 of last year to March 15 of this year.
