Performance and Bonus Grade Increase, Reward Leave, Personnel Bonus Points, and Incentive Payments
[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyungpil] Jeonnam Wando-gun announced that it held an Active Administration Committee meeting on the 23rd of last month to spread the culture of active administration within the organization and selected three 'Outstanding Active Administration Public Officials' for the first half of the year.
The county selected three outstanding cases through a two-step evaluation process based on four criteria: ▲citizen perception ▲the officer's proactiveness, creativity, and expertise ▲importance and difficulty of the task ▲possibility of dissemination. The first round was a practical review (30%), and the second round was a review by the Active Administration Committee (70%).
An Outstanding Active Administration Public Official refers to a public official who actively handles tasks based on creativity and expertise for the public interest.
As a result of the final evaluation, Deputy Officers Lee Jae-seon from the General Affairs Division, Shin Su-hee from the Health Administration Division, and Lim Jeong-min from the Fisheries Management Division were selected.
Deputy Officer Lee Jae-seon proposed to improve an unreasonable system where some affiliated island areas belonging to Dangin-ri, Yeongpung-ri, and Hwangjin-ri villages in Gunoe-myeon, connected by inland and bridges, were classified as island areas and thus bore surcharges on delivery fees. Through operating a 'Visiting Regulation Reporting Center,' he submitted this issue to central government ministries, resulting in a recommendation from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission to improve delivery fees.
Deputy Officer Shin Su-hee conducted a 'Visiting Vaccination Service' targeting Muido Island, which lacks a health clinic, to facilitate COVID-19 third-dose vaccinations for elderly residents aged 60 and over in island villages facing difficulties. As a result, 330 people completed their vaccinations, contributing to safe vaccination and resolving accessibility issues in medically vulnerable areas for island residents.
Deputy Officer Lim Jeong-min responded to the labor shortage in fishing villages caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic by promptly revising the work agreement according to the Ministry of Justice's guidelines for the foreign seasonal worker program. This enabled the deployment of 129 foreign seasonal workers to 53 fishing households, ensuring management stability.
The selected Outstanding Active Administration Public Officials will receive incentives including prize money, a one-grade increase in performance bonuses, additional points (0.3 points) in work performance evaluations, and three days of reward leave.
Kang Seong-woon, Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Wando-gun Active Administration Committee, expressed gratitude to the staff who demonstrated active and creative attitudes in response to rapidly changing social and economic conditions, stating, "We will continue to strive to implement active administration that citizens can tangibly feel."
