“Global Talent Development Gogosing” … Gyeongnam Jeongbo University Holds Launch Ceremony for Students Dispatched to Global Training Program
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) is actively launching various overseas training programs to strengthen the global capabilities of its enrolled students.
To launch the global training program in 2022, Gyeongnam Information University held a kickoff ceremony on the 6th in the university's main conference room for the dispatched students.
The 34 Gyeongnam Information University students dispatched overseas will be sent respectively to the University of Burton & South Derbyshire in Birmingham, UK; Western Iowa Tech Community College in Iowa, USA; and Nishinippon Junior College in Japan, where they will undergo intensive language education, on-site job training, practical training at local companies, and various field trips before returning.
Kim Dae-sik, president of Gyeongnam Information University, said, "I hope this international exchange program will be a good opportunity for students to see and learn a lot on site," adding, "Gyeongnam Information University will take the lead in fostering global talents by improving students' foreign language skills and overseas employment."

Gyeongnam Information University is implementing the global training program after being selected for the Korea Scholarship Foundation's 2021 and 2022 Blue Ladder projects and the Korea Council for College Education's specialized college global field training project.
