Gwangju Nambu Fire Station "Please Equip Vehicle Fire Extinguishers"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the 6th, the Gwangju Nambu Fire Station announced a request to equip 'vehicle fire extinguishers' to ensure driver safety and prompt fire suppression in case of vehicle fires.
Vehicle fires occur due to various causes such as driver negligence like cigarette butts and lighters, engine room fires caused by electrical or mechanical factors, and fires resulting from traffic accidents. Since flammable materials like fuel can cause the fire to spread easily throughout the vehicle, it is very important to have a fire extinguisher on board to suppress the fire at an early stage.
Vehicle fire extinguishers can be easily purchased at large supermarkets or online, and only extinguishers that have passed vibration tests considering the automobile driving environment are used. Therefore, you should purchase extinguishers marked with 'for automobile use' on the upper part of the main container.
