Jeonnam Fire Department Hosts the 4th Jeonnam 119 Emergency Medical Service Competition
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Kim Joil) announced on the 6th that it held the '4th Jeonnam 119 Emergency Medical Service Activity Competition' at the meeting room of Gangjin Fire Station.
The '119 Emergency Medical Service Activity Competition' is held to improve the quality of 119 emergency medical services by systematizing the on-site treatment skills and activity records of paramedics in various environments.
A team consisting of four paramedics participates, performing emergency activities and scenarios for a simulated critical patient, divided into three categories: patient assessment, emergency treatment, and debriefing, competing for 20 minutes.
The competition operation proceeds as follows: ▲Step 1, paramedics arriving on-site contact the patient and guardian ▲Step 2, patient assessment, emergency treatment, and completion of the emergency activity log and detailed situation report ▲Step 3, feedback on emergency activities and approval of the emergency log.
On this day, six fire stations (Mokpo, Suncheon, Naju, Gwangyang, Yeonggwang, Wando) that passed the first written evaluation among the 20 fire stations in the province participated in a heated competition.
The top team, Gwangyang Fire Station, consisting of Fire Sergeants Nam Yoon-gil and Lee Seung-ryong, Fire Corporal Cha Kyung-mi, and Firefighter Park Min-seon, will participate in the national competition on the 13th as Jeonnam's representative.
