Domestic Stock Market Declines Early as Institutions and Foreigners Sell
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The domestic stock market recorded a decline in the early trading session on the 6th.
As of 9:11 a.m. that day, the KOSPI index stood at 2,316.09, down 25.69 points (1.10%) from the previous trading day. The index, which opened at 2,330.11, down 11.67 points (0.50%) from the previous trading day, widened its losses due to selling pressure from foreigners and institutions. Foreigners and institutions sold approximately 47.5 billion KRW and 153.3 billion KRW respectively, while individuals net bought about 198.4 billion KRW.

At the same time, the KOSDAQ index was at 745.64, down 5.31 points (0.71%) from the previous trading day. Individuals net bought about 65.4 billion KRW, helping to curb the index's decline, while foreigners and institutions net sold approximately 49.7 billion KRW and 13.0 billion KRW respectively.
