KOSDAQ Gains Early Session on Joint Buying by Foreigners and Institutions
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The KOSDAQ index is expanding its gains in early trading.
As of 9:38 a.m. on the 5th, the KOSDAQ index was recorded at 742.49, up 19.76 points (2.73%) from the previous trading day.
On this day, the KOSDAQ index started trading at 729.40, up 6.67 points (0.92%). Since then, foreigners and institutions led the index's rise with net purchases worth approximately 57 billion KRW and 35.1 billion KRW, respectively. On the other hand, individuals net sold about 87.4 billion KRW.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, all showed strength. EcoPro BM, a secondary battery-related stock, recorded the largest gain, rising 7.60%. This was followed by Alteogen (6.31%), L&F (5.13%), Studio Dragon (4.23%), Chunbo (3.72%), Kakao Games (2.89%), Pearl Abyss (1.98%), Celltrion Pharm (1.81%), HLB (1.53%), Celltrion Healthcare (0.14%) in order. In addition, Seegene rose more than 12%, showing strong performance.

Furthermore, the KOSPI index's upward trend continues. The KOSPI index, which started trading at 2322.11, up 21.77 points (0.95%) from the previous day, recorded 2334.41, up 34.07 points (1.48%) at the same time. Institutions net purchased about 142.2 billion KRW, while individuals and foreigners net sold approximately 139.2 billion KRW and 3.8 billion KRW, respectively.
