Jeju Air CEO Conducts Joint Safety Inspection in Preparation for Heatwave
Kim E-bae, CEO of Jeju Air, conducted a joint safety and health inspection at Gimpo Airport on the 1st.
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Kim I-bae, CEO of Jeju Air, conducted a joint safety and health inspection for on-site workers of partner companies in response to the peak summer heat, the company announced on the 3rd.
On the 1st, CEO Kim personally checked the maintenance and transportation sites at Gimpo International Airport, as well as the safety conditions of partner company workers during the peak summer heat. He also conducted inspections to prevent safety hazards in advance. According to relevant regulations, the contractor must form a joint inspection team for the workplace and conduct inspections at least once per quarter.
During the inspection, Jeju Air formed a joint inspection team with representatives and safety managers from JAS, responsible for passenger and ground operations, and partner companies in charge of in-flight disinfection, touring each work site at Gimpo Airport. CEO Kim also participated in the inspection, focusing on whether the companies conducted regular safety and health training for workers, the provision and use of personal protective equipment, and the identification of prevalent and hazardous factors on site.
Earlier this year, the company established a safety and health management system, with CEO Kim directly taking on the role of overall safety and health management officer.
