Procurement Quality Institute Temporarily Exempts Delivery Inspections for 18 Companies Including Maru Lighting
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Procurement Quality Institute announced on the 1st that it will temporarily exempt delivery inspections for 184 products from 18 companies, including Maru Lighting Co., Ltd., which have Korean Industrial Standards (KS) certification.
These products will not be subject to inspections by specialized procurement material institutions or the Public Procurement Service for two years starting from today.
Through this, the Procurement Quality Institute expects that the 18 companies will be able to save approximately 130 million KRW in inspection costs during the exemption period. The selected products include LED lighting fixtures, metal windows, PE pipes, and office furniture.
The Procurement Quality Institute selects products eligible for delivery inspection exemption twice a year. Applications for exemption products for the second half of this year are scheduled to be accepted from September to November.
In the second half of the year, not only KS-certified products but also manufactured goods from companies excelling in quality management and quality competitiveness will be eligible to apply.
