Hwasun-gun to Accept Additional Applications for 'Youth Culture Welfare Card' Starting Next Month
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, is expanding the eligibility for the Youth Culture Welfare Card support and will accept additional applications until the 31st of next month.
The county announced on the 30th that it will change the residency requirements and recruit additional eligible applicants to expand opportunities for youth to enjoy cultural life and self-development.
Originally, the support target was youth aged 21 to 28 who had continuously resided in Jeollanam-do for more than two years since January 1, 2020, but the condition has been expanded to youth aged 21 to 28 (born between 1994 and 2001) who have continuously resided in the province for more than two years since July 1, 2020.
However, public institution employees receiving welfare points (card) (such as government officials, teachers, security guards, public workers, contract workers, etc.), out-of-school youth education allowance recipients, female farmers and fishermen happiness voucher recipients, and Munhwa Nuri Card support recipients (with a 100,000 KRW difference payment) are excluded.
Eligible applicants can apply online through the NongHyup Card website or at the administrative welfare centers in their respective towns or townships.
Once selected, 200,000 KRW per year will be provided as cultural welfare funds via a check card.
The funds can only be used for cultural activities and self-development purposes within Jeollanam-do, such as books, movies, performances, academy courses, sports facilities, and travel.
A county official said, “We hope the Culture Welfare Card will support youth cultural and leisure activities and self-development, and serve as an opportunity to help them settle in the region. We hope many young people will benefit by checking the expanded eligibility.”
