US-Origin Fulfillment Sales Increase by 266.7%
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Korea Center's overseas subsidiary Moltail announced on the 30th that cross-border fulfillment other than fulfillment heading to Korea is rapidly growing.
According to Korea Center, the number of fulfillment orders and sales from the US to various countries increased by 186.1% and 266.7%, respectively, compared to the previous year until May this year. The number of fulfillment orders and sales from Europe to Japan increased by 78.3% and 80.2%, respectively.
The rapid growth of cross-border fulfillment other than fulfillment heading to Korea is due to problems in the global supply chain caused by the aftermath of COVID-19, with transactions centered on overseas logistics centers in each country, mainly for quarantine supplies such as masks, serving as a starting signal.

A Moltail official said, "As so-called cross-border e-commerce, where consumers and sellers are connected across borders via mobile and PC, increases, fulfillment centered on each Moltail logistics center is also rapidly growing," adding, "We will do our best to provide fulfillment services based on cutting-edge logistics systems."
