Following the allowance of group tours to Japan from June 10, and the resumption of the Gimpo-Haneda International Airport route on the 29th, the Lotte Duty Free Gimpo Airport store also reopened.
According to Lotte Duty Free on the 30th, the Lotte Duty Free Tokyo Ginza store, boasting the largest scale in Tokyo, will celebrate its reopening after about 2 years and 3 months since COVID-19 with large-scale discounts and giveaways, luxury whiskey prize events, and various other promotions to enhance benefits for customers visiting Tokyo, Japan after a long time.
First, a large-scale discount event will be held for two months until August 31. Customers can enjoy up to 70% off on about 2,000 products from a total of 70 brands. Popular J-COS brands such as SK2, Shiseido, Cosme Decorte, and whiskey brands like Suntory and Jeonggwanjang are representative examples.
There will also be an event offering Japanese whiskey, which is experiencing a shortage due to increased global demand, as lucky prizes. This event will be held until the 31st of next month, with a lottery for customers who purchase over 20,000 yen at the Tokyo Ginza store. Prizes include one bottle each of Suntory Hibiki 21-year-old, Yamazaki 18-year-old, Hakushu 18-year-old, as well as 5 bottles of Hibiki Harmony Masters and 20 bottles of Kabuto. In particular, the Hibiki 21-year-old and Yamazaki 18-year-old are extremely popular, trading for millions of won domestically.
A first-come, first-served gift card giveaway event for customers boarding the Gimpo-Haneda flight will also be held throughout July. Every day, 5 customers visiting the Lotte Duty Free Tokyo Ginza store will receive a 20,000 won gift card usable on the same day.
Park Changyoung, Head of Global Business Division at Lotte Duty Free, said, “The Lotte Duty Free Tokyo Ginza store will reopen after more than two years in line with the resumption of international flights. As the global tourism market gradually recovers, we will prepare various benefits to satisfy both domestic and foreign customers.”
