A 29-Story Mixed-Use Complex to Be Built in Front of Sinchon Station... 196 Households to Be Supplied
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] As the main use of the commercial area located in the redevelopment zone in front of Sinchon Station changes from office to residential, a residential-commercial complex with up to 29 floors and 196 households is scheduled to be supplied.
On the 30th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that at the 8th Urban Planning Committee held the day before, the “Mapo-gu Sinchon Area 2-7 District Urban Maintenance-type Redevelopment Zone Maintenance Plan Decision (Amendment) Proposal” was approved with modifications. This area is located near Sinchon Station and was designated as a redevelopment zone in 2014 due to the concentration of old and deteriorated buildings.
With this amendment, the main use of the area will change from office to residential, and 196 households will be supplied. The households consist of 141 general sale units, 48 long-term general private rental housing units, and 7 officetel units. One residential building will be 29 floors high, and one officetel building will be 10 floors high.
From basement level 1 to ground level 3, neighborhood living facilities and public facilities will be introduced. As part of the public contribution plan, a daycare center will be installed on the first floor, and child and adolescent mental health support facilities will be established on the 2nd and 3rd floors to provide vulnerable childcare services (365-day open daycare) and support children with emotional behavioral problems and developmental disabilities.
According to the amendment, plots within the nearby preservation district that require maintenance and cultural facility plots with low feasibility for individual maintenance were incorporated into the zone.
Pedestrian spaces were secured including a front setback, and a small park was planned to create a pedestrian environment and resting space connected to Nogosan Park. A job caf? that can induce support functions for university students around Sinchon Station will also be provided.
