Chungnam Builds 'Metaverse' Meeting Space... "First Case Among Local Governments"
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province is establishing and utilizing a metaverse meeting space. It is the first among local governments nationwide.
On the 29th, the province announced that it will build and operate a 'metaverse virtual meeting space' that allows both online and offline meetings.
The virtual meeting space is a space built using the metaverse to enable participation in offline meetings remotely. The province has differentiated it by designating conversation spaces for small groups of participants and rest areas.
The province will officially operate the virtual meeting space starting from the 1st of next month. In particular, on that day, the province plans to hold the inauguration ceremony of Governor-elect Kim Tae-heum in the virtual meeting space, allowing residents and the MZ generation to participate in the ceremony using their smartphones.
The inauguration ceremony can be attended by watching the relay screen in the virtual meeting space lobby or entering the main conference room without separate membership registration.
