Young and dynamic new figure Kang Byung-won!
Creating a new Democratic Party with unifying leadership
Dear citizens and party members, I am National Assembly member Kang Byung-won.
Before standing here, I asked myself repeatedly.
Whether I have the vision to lead the party as the new leader of the Democratic Party, and whether I possess the appropriate attitude?I could not be certain.
However, someone must do it.
We must speak of hope again.
Today, I declare my candidacy for party leader to overcome the party’s crisis and leadership crisis and to build a new Democratic Party.
The party is in crisis.
Right now, party members are commanding us.
To decisively break away from pervasive internal favoritism, the lethargy of defeat, and to create a ‘new Democratic Party’ through thorough reflection, innovation, unity, and solidarity.
Leadership is in crisis.
Without leadership equipped with public responsibility and dedication to restore morality and unify the party as one, the party’s crisis cannot be overcome.
I boldly promise.
A new Democratic Party, a competent Democratic Party! Young and dynamic unifying leadership! Now, I will take on that role.
Dear citizens and party members.
There are concerns that this party convention will be stained by factional fights.
I am running to overcome those concerns and to sprout the seeds of unity.
Dear citizens and party members.
Kang Byung-won, above all, is a new figure.
Kang Byung-won, above all, is a prepared figure.
A new Democratic Party led by new figures!
This is the surest sign of party innovation and unity.
Dear citizens and party members, please pour new wine into new wineskins.
When the leader changes, the Democratic Party changes. And when the Democratic Party changes, the Republic of Korea changes.
Please unite your strength so that new figures can practice innovation and unity.
Young and dynamic leadership!
Leadership of innovation and unity!
I will become the new party leader and create a Democratic Party united as one.
Through painful innovation, responsible politics, and restoration of trust, I will open the era of a ‘winning Democratic Party.’
Please make Kang Byung-won the party leader who will build the new Democratic Party.
