On the 29th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization announced that they will operate the 'Travel Product Promotion Hall,' which offers consumer-tailored travel product recommendations and direct links to product reservation sites, starting from the 30th of this month.
This service, aimed at promoting domestic travel products and supporting market expansion, will be operated on the Korea Tourism Organization's domestic travel information website, "Korea All Over."
The service features recommendations of domestic travel destinations and customized travel products from the consumer's perspective, allowing easy purchase by moving directly to the reservation site.
Additionally, tourism companies can easily register their domestic travel products sold online on the website for simple promotion.
Both consumers and tourism companies can use the service without separate login or membership registration. The searchable products include those from the travel industry, tourism ventures and startups, local resident businesses such as Tourism Dure, and jointly developed products by the organization and local governments.
Efforts will also be made to encourage companies to expand product registration and promote to consumers. After the opening of the product hall, the organization plans to conduct online purchase verification events and online advertisements targeting consumers. Prior to this, full-scale promotion began through the websites of the Korea Association of Travel Agents and the Korea Startup Association.
On the 21st, the organization signed a business agreement with the Korea Tourism Startup Association to revitalize domestic tourism and support win-win cooperation with startups through the travel product promotion hall.
Baesangmin, president of the Korea Tourism Startup Association, expressed expectations that “this will be a great help to the tourism startup sector, which had little contact with consumers,” and Jeong Gijeong, head of the Digital Marketing Office at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, “We will focus on promotion to ensure many product sales through the promotion hall.”
