Kyobo Securities Launches US Individual Stock Options Trading Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Kyobo Securities announced on the 29th that it will start a US individual stock options trading service.
This service was launched in response to the recent increase in overseas stock investments and customer demand for overseas stock options. Options refer to the "right" to buy or sell underlying assets such as stocks and indices at a predetermined price at a specific time (weekly, monthly, etc.). Going forward, investors will be able to invest in monthly expiration options for promising US company stocks through Kyobo Securities.
The tradable option stocks include five companies: Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, and Amazon. The list of stocks will be expanded in the future reflecting market conditions.
Shin Young-kyun, Head of International & Investment Solutions at Kyobo Securities, said, "With the launch of this service, we are providing investors with various overseas financial product investment strategies and opportunities," adding, "We will continue to launch new services reflecting customer needs."

Additionally, customers who apply for the event will be temporarily charged a stock option trading fee of $2.5 until the end of the year.
