KOTRA Hosts 'Online Job Fair' to Support Entry into Silicon Valley, USA
Participation of 6 Companies Including Automation Equipment and Robotics Manufacturers
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] KOTRA announced on the 28th that it will hold an online job fair to support the entry of excellent Korean engineers into Silicon Valley, USA.
The fair, which will be held over two days starting the next day, will invite local companies mainly composed of Korean engineers to provide job opportunities in the US for domestic job seekers. Six companies, including manufacturers of automation equipment and robotics, and software development firms, will participate in the fair.
KOTRA explained, "As Silicon Valley is the global center of innovative technology, competition among tech companies to recruit excellent engineers is very intense. However, due to language and cultural differences, as well as employment visa issues, it is not easy for engineer candidates trained in Korea to seize the opportunity."
Park Yongmin, head of KOTRA Silicon Valley Trade Center, said, "Silicon Valley treats engineers better than anywhere else in the world," and urged, "As Korean talent, please have confidence and actively knock on the door."
