The Minting Corporation announced on the 28th that it has opened a '1:1 mobile consultation channel for local love gift certificates' as a customer consultation window for the local gift certificate 'chak' and additionally introduced and operates Kakao artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot.
Currently, 75 local governments nationwide use the chak service. Recently, as the usage method of local love gift certificates has rapidly shifted from paper to card and mobile, the number of mobile subscribers to the chak service is also increasing.
In fact, as of the end of last month, the number of mobile subscribers totaled 1.8 million, an 80% increase compared to 1 million subscribers in the same month last year (May), according to the Minting Corporation.
However, as the number of mobile subscribers surged in a short period, difficulties also arose. As inquiries about service use increased at the Minting Corporation call center, a bottleneck occurred in customer response.
In response, the Minting Corporation opened a 1:1 mobile consultation channel for local love gift certificates to disperse customer inflow channels and introduced a chatbot for customer consultations related to local love gift certificates, minimizing customer inconvenience.
Additionally, the Minting Corporation emphasizes that the introduction of the mobile consultation channel and chatbot has brought tangible and intangible effects such as replacing call center personnel, shortening problem-solving time raised by customers, improving efficiency in handling simple tasks, diversifying communication channels, and strengthening contact points with customers.
