Smoke at Garak Market Station Platform on Line 3... No Casualties Reported
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] At around 2:20 PM on the 24th, smoke from a battery fire broke out at the platform of Garak Market Station on Seoul Subway Line 3 in Songpa-gu, causing a commotion as citizens evacuated.
According to the fire authorities on the day, the fire originated from a battery supplying emergency power to the platform screen doors and was completely extinguished at around 3:02 PM. Following the accident announcement, all passengers evacuated, and no casualties occurred.
