Government to Hold IPEF Public Hearing on the 8th of Next Month... "Collecting Public Opinions"

[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Lee Jun-hyung] The government will hold a public hearing on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) next month.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced that it will hold a public hearing at COEX in Seoul on the afternoon of the 8th of next month to gather public opinions related to IPEF. IPEF is an economic cooperation framework in the Indo-Pacific region led by the United States. Fourteen countries, including Korea, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, are participating, and it was launched last month.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy will present the progress and expected effects of IPEF at the public hearing. Afterwards, it plans to listen to the opinions of stakeholders such as IPEF-related organizations and experts.
To attend the public hearing, applicants must fill out an application form and submit it to the IPEF General Team of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. The submission deadline is the 4th of next month. The application method for attending the public hearing can be found on the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s website.

If it is difficult to attend in person, opinions related to IPEF can be submitted through written statements. The Ministry plans to reflect written opinions in the opinion-gathering process equally with the opinions presented at the public hearing.
