Green Umbrella Foundation Donates 5.7 Million KRW in Emergency Medical Expenses to Chosun University Hospital
Use of Funds for Treatment of Infants Suspected of Child Abuse
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University Hospital (Director Kim Kyungjong) announced on the 23rd that it received emergency medical expenses of 5.7 million won from the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation Jeonnam Regional Headquarters (Head Kim Yuseong).
The delivered support fund is scheduled to be used for the hospitalization treatment costs of an infant (0 years old) of Thai nationality.
The patient receiving medical expense support from the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation was transferred to Chosun University Hospital around the 20th of last month as a suspected child abuse case just five days after being entrusted to an illegal facility operated by a Thai migrant woman for the parents’ livelihood.
The patient’s parents work as daily laborers (agriculture) and live with irregular income, so they have no ability to bear hospital expenses and are in a difficult economic situation.
The child’s mother said, “I was worried about the child’s hospital expenses, but I am very grateful to receive this support,” and added, “I will live diligently to repay the love and help I received.”
