Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Conducts Search and Seizure at Gangnam Police Station over 'Investigation Information Leak'

The Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency carried out a search and seizure at the Investigation Review Officer's Office of the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.
Sergeant A, who was the Investigation Review Officer at the Gangnam Police Station, is suspected of leaking investigation information while advising a complainant who filed a case at the Gangnam Police Station in June of last year.
Sergeant A was placed on standby leave in January after these allegations surfaced, and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has currently begun an internal investigation into Sergeant A.
