Korean Prime Minister: "We Will Spare No Support to Leap into a Space Power" [Nuriho Success]
[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Kim Hyewon] Prime Minister Han Duck-soo congratulated the successful launch of the Korean-type launch vehicle 'Nuriho' (KSLV-II), developed with domestic independent technology, on the 21st, stating, "The new government will continue to spare no support for the leap to become a space power."
While on a business trip to Paris, France, to attend the General Assembly of the International Bureau of Expositions (BIE), Prime Minister Han posted on Facebook immediately after the successful launch of Nuriho, saying, "Our challenge toward space will continue."
Prime Minister Han said, "South Korea has become the seventh country in the world to independently secure practical satellite space transportation capability," and encouraged, "How can we fully measure the sweat and tears of countless researchers and officials until this emotional moment?"
He added, "I received many congratulations here in Paris as well," and expressed his feelings, saying, "Hearing the praises of the homeland from abroad is even more joyful and proud."

Earlier, at the BIE General Assembly held at the Palais des Congr?s in Paris, Prime Minister Han represented the Korean government to make the second presentation (PT) for hosting the Busan Expo and appealed to representatives of 170 member countries for support in hosting the 2030 Busan Expo.
